Mist veils the rugged coast as the Giant’s Causeway emerges from the Atlantic like a pathway to another world. Thousands of hexagonal basalt columns, worn smooth by centuries of wind and tide, jut from the shore in orderly chaos. Legend whispered that the Irish giant Finn McCool built the causeway to challenge his Scottish rival, only to retreat and destroy most of it, leaving the strange stones behind. Sea spray kisses the rocks, and the roar of waves mingles with the cries of seabirds. Standing there, it is easy to believe giants had once walked this wild edge of Ireland.
